Amy and I have learned a few things about multi-sport during our eleven year journey in the sport together.
Together we have raced in over a hundred multi-sport events, including 15 Ironman Triathlons. (2.4 mile swim – 112 mile bike – 26 mile run) Among this Ironman list is a rare husband-wife appearance at the 2002 Ironman World Championships, held on the Big Island of Hawaii. (pictured above, and glad that is over!)
Amy is a certified USA Triathlon coach and two-time USA Triathlon All-American. Mark is the Director of Ultramax Events, producing more than 50 multi-sport events, including five USA Triathlon National Championships. Mark is the past president of the Columbia Multisport Club, now one of the largest and most dynamic triathlon clubs in the nation. (Four Time National Triathlon Club Champions)
